Tea Toned Cyanotype on Arches Platine paper.

This cyanotype print is based on a beautiful cream coloured roses from my friend’s garden last summer.

Every print is handmade. 100% cotton rag cotton rag paper is coated with a specially mixed light sensitive solution in a dark room. I then let it dry overnight. I expose it to UV light under a carefully calibrated and tested negative.

When the exposure is complete I rinse the paper in water and the blue image emerges. Once dry it is fixed and permanent.

These prints have been toned with tea to give blueish shadows and warm highlights.

Each print is slightly different due to the brushstrokes and other variations in the handmade process.

This print is from an edition of 40 and is signed, numbered and dated on the back.
