Dog Roses I - Photogravure Print

Dog Roses I - Photogravure Print
Photopolymer/photogravure print of Roses from my balcony.
Image size 6 x 5 inches, paper size 11 x 10 inches.
I make the prints by first making a plate - exposing it under UV light and washing, drying and hardening it. I ink it up and hand wipe it - a process that takes between 10 to 20 minutes. I then put it through the etching press under a sheet of pre-soaked cotton rag paper. I flatten the prints between acid free boards, and dry them there for 2 to 3 days, before signing and dating them.
I love these roses, which I grow at home in a container. I don’t use any pesticides so the leaves of my flowers and plants are often a bit nibbled, which I think only adds to the beauty of them.
This is a limited edition print, consisting of 12 prints in blue, and 12 in warm brown.
Additionally included one mini print from the same series, chosen by the artist.
Note - both of these prints will be dispatched after the 10th of November.
