Toned Cyanotype on Arches Platine paper.

The image size is approx 6 x 6 inches. Paper size 8.5 x 8.5 inches.

Arches paper is made in France in a traditional process using a cylinder mould. The 100% cotton gives the paper a supple feel and a smooth velvety surface.

Each cyanotype print is made by hand coating cotton rag paper with a light sensitive solution and exposing it to UV light, either by the sun, or in the studio. The paper is then rinsed with water, dried and flattened. I then carefully tone them with coffee to give the warm highlights and cool blue/green shadows.

This is one of a few test prints for a limited edition series. (The final series has differently finished edges.)

Each print has been made by hand. Due to the handmade nature, there may be pleasing variations and irregularities in colour and brushstrokes.

The prints are signed and dated by the artist.
